Professional Princess Performing: It's Not Cosplay

In November of 2013 I started my own birthday party business. The idea came about after having a conversation with a friend who has been doing Princess Parties for many years. She felt it was a good fit for me since I have been working in Early Childhood Education my entire adult life. I have held many positions in Child Care and have completed several certified courses in Early Childhood Development. I have been in the hobby of costuming for roughly 10 years. One of the first and very important lessons she taught me was that being a Princess Performer was not Cosplay.

Wonder Woman Battle Ready Toy Review

It's time for another toy review from the Wonder Woman movie collection! The Wonder Woman Battle Ready doll is made by Mattel. It was purchased at Wal-Mart for $12.88. The doll is dressed in her Wonder Woman costume. The costume is a one piece printed dress. The belt is made of plastic and is removable. The chest piece is also made of plastic and is sewn into the sides of the dress. An elastic band is around her neck, holding the chest piece into place. Her boots and bracers are removable. Her arm band is held in place with an elastic band. Her tiara is secured into her head with tabs that can be cut off. She comes with a lasso.  The dolls elbows are jointed as well as her knees. Her left hand is positioned so that she can hold her lasso.

Diana Prince Toy Review

The Wonder Woman movie toy collection isn't scheduled to be released until late April however, some Wal-Mart locations have all ready put them out on shelves. This review is for the Diana Prince with Hidden Sword doll. It is made by Mattel and was priced at $12.88. My local Wal-Mart only had one Diana Prince doll for sale (and now she's mine. Praise Hera!). She is wearing a blue evening gown as seen in the Wonder Woman trailer. She comes with a sword and one pair of boots.

Power Ranger 2017 Advance Movie Review

On Wednesday March 22, 2017 I was fortunate enough to attend an advance screening of the new Power Rangers film in King of Prussia, PA. The movie centers around Jason, Kimberly, Billy, Zack and Trini, who are chosen by the power coins to become the Power Rangers. They must defend the planet against alien threat, Rita Repulsa. Actors Naomi Scott, Dacre Montgomery, RJ Cyler, Ludi Lin and Becky G. portray the modern day "teenagers with attitude". Elizabeth Banks stars as Rita Repulsa. Rounding out the cast is acclaimed actor Bryan Craston as Zordon. The Lionsgate film is directed by Dean Israelite and rated PG-13 with a run time of 2 hours and 4 minutes. Although the plot may seem like a familiar one, we experience it with a modern day twist.
